Recently I went through a Nazi-like interrogation, and I purposely lied to save my comrade.

This type of lie is justified and I'd lie again given the same circumstances. I don't know what he was expecting of me. I wasn't obligated to divulge the information to him, and his motives for asking were corrupt. If he lies to his own conscience then I'm going to lie right back at him, not like he wanted but like he gets. He must have played me for someone stupid or something. I no longer trust him with any information.

If you go asking me questions that are none of your business, I am going to answer you deceptively as well. I am no free disclosure of all truth. Just because it is the truth doesn't make it public domain, either.
