I volunteered to be the corrections guy for the district a year ago, which
is the last district meeting I've been to since. In the meantime I've been
arranging meetings in corrections in the area.

Then the other members of the district meeting were complaining I don't
attend district meetings and because of that I should be relieved of my
post.

I can't go to district meetings because of my job. I need to get caught up
with my sleep, which falls on the district meeting time $7.00 worth of gas
away, once a month.

If they don't like that they can kiss my ass.

I was the corrections chairman the last two years. It was important to
attend the district meeting to inform the AA groups of what is
happening in the corrections committee and how we are bringing the
meeting to the alcoholics in jails. The AA groups support the
corrections committee through their donations and have a right to know
how that money is spent. If the committee chairman doesn't show up and
keep people informed then he is preventing others from having an
opportunity to learn more about that service. The groups are well
within their right to request a new chairman if you are too selfish to
fulfill your obligations of the position.

I am the current district treasurer and am strongly considering asking
for a new literature chairman to be elected because he is not turning
over the proceeds of literature to me for deposit and will not answer
text messages or calls for us to meet somewhere and get that done. I
will call him out at the next district meeting if he even bothers
showing up. In the meantime I will discuss this at our next home group
meeting and make a motion there for this to happen first.

Well, if you can't do what is needed to satisfy the requirements of the
position, then give it up.
