Come hither, I will show thee the bride, the Lamb's wife:

10Who can find a virtuous woman? for her price is far above rubies. 11The
heart of her husband doth safely trust in her, so that he shall have no need
of spoil. 12She will do him good and not evil all the days of her life.
13She seeketh wool, and flax, and worketh willingly with her hands. 14She
is like the merchants' ships; she bringeth her food from afar. 15She
riseth also while it is yet night, and giveth meat to her household, and a
portion to her maidens. 16She considereth a field, and buyeth it: with the
fruit of her hands she planteth a vineyard. 17She girdeth her loins with
strength, and strengtheneth her arms. 18She perceiveth that her
merchandise is good: her candle goeth not out by night. 19She layeth her
hands to the spindle, and her hands hold the distaff. 20She stretcheth out
her hand to the poor; yea, she reacheth forth her hands to the needy.
21She is not afraid of the snow for her household: for all her household are
clothed with scarlet. 22She maketh herself coverings of tapestry; her
clothing is silk and purple. 23Her husband is known in the gates, when he
sitteth among the elders of the land. 24She maketh fine linen, and selleth
it; and delivereth girdles unto the merchant. 25Strength and honour are
her clothing; and she shall rejoice in time to come. 26She openeth her
mouth with wisdom; and in her tongue is the law of kindness. 27She looketh
well to the ways of her household, and eateth not the bread of idleness.
28Her children arise up, and call her blessed; her husband also, and he
praiseth her. 29Many daughters have done virtuously, but thou excellest
them all. 30Favour is deceitful, and beauty is vain: but a woman that
feareth the LORD, she shall be praised. 31Give her of the fruit of her
hands; and let her own works praise her in the gates.

10And he carried me away in the spirit to a great and high mountain, and
showed me that great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from
God, 11Having the glory of God: and her light was like unto a stone most
precious, even like a jasper stone, clear as crystal; 12And had a wall
great and high, and had twelve gates, and at the gates twelve angels, and
names written thereon, which are the names of the twelve tribes of the
children of Israel: 13On the east three gates; on the north three gates;
on the south three gates; and on the west three gates. 14And the wall of
the city had twelve foundations, and in them the names of the twelve
apostles of the Lamb. 15And he that talked with me had a golden reed to
measure the city, and the gates thereof, and the wall thereof. 16And the
city lieth foursquare, and the length is as large as the breadth: and he
measured the city with the reed, twelve thousand furlongs. The length and
the breadth and the height of it are equal. 17And he measured the wall
thereof, an hundred and forty and four cubits, according to the measure of a
man, that is, of the angel. 18And the building of the wall of it was of
jasper: and the city was pure gold, like unto clear glass. 19And the
foundations of the wall of the city were garnished with all manner of
precious stones. The first foundation was jasper; the second, sapphire; the
third, a chalcedony; the fourth, an emerald; 20The fifth, sardonyx; the
sixth, sardius; the seventh, chrysolyte; the eighth, beryl; the ninth, a
topaz; the tenth, a chrysoprasus; the eleventh, a jacinth; the twelfth, an
amethyst. 21And the twelve gates were twelve pearls; every several gate
was of one pearl: and the street of the city was pure gold, as it were
transparent glass. 22And I saw no temple therein: for the Lord God
Almighty and the Lamb are the temple of it. 23And the city had no need of
the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did
lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof. 24And the nations of them
which are saved shall walk in the light of it: and the kings of the earth do
bring their glory and honour into it. 25And the gates of it shall not be
shut at all by day: for there shall be no night there. 26And they shall
bring the glory and honour of the nations into it. 27And there shall in no
wise enter into it any thing that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh
abomination, or maketh a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb's book
of life.

11And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon
him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and
make war. 12His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many
crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself. 13And
he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The
Word of God. 14And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white
horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean. 15And out of his mouth
goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall
rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the
fierceness and wrath of Almighty God. 16And he hath on his vesture and on
his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS. 17And I saw an
angel standing in the sun; and he cried with a loud voice, saying to all the
fowls that fly in the midst of heaven, Come and gather yourselves together
unto the supper of the great God; 18That ye may eat the flesh of kings,
and the flesh of captains, and the flesh of mighty men, and the flesh of
horses, and of them that sit on them, and the flesh of all men, both free
and bond, both small and great. 19And I saw the beast, and the kings of
the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against him that
sat on the horse, and against his army. 20And the beast was taken, and
with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he
deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that
worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning
with brimstone. 21And the remnant were slain with the sword of him that
sat upon the horse, which sword proceeded out of his mouth: and all the
fowls were filled with their flesh.

Who is willing to step up to the plate? Nobody? Every couple today
constitutes a hue and sector in the spectrum of hybrids and variations of
THE LAMB AND HIS WIFE. The reaper will harvest the good and burn the rest.
While sex is such a joy, the stench of death surrounds it, of the suitors
who were turned away and died, and of the fighters who secured just revenge
on the couples of joy, who expired and faded away. [satire]
